At work, one of the few people I feel comfortable talking to is Kuya H as I always learn whenever I sit by their table. I learn about Religion (he took up Theology), languages and just random trivia I enjoy taking notes of. Occasionally, I help him do typing jobs especially when he feels his hands numbing and I think he has observed how I say “tanga” (stupid/careless) when I commit errors. He always tells me:

“It’s alright to make mistakes because mistakes help you learn. Don’t be too hard on yourself, we all commit mistakes.”

He doesn’t know it but whenever he says those lines, I feel better. I’m starting to be less negative, using less negative words especially on myself. Slowly trying to be more positive and it’s not that easy when you’ve programmed yourself to be grumpy all the time but I’m getting there…

My birthday’s coming up and I think this is a good time to start changing things in my life. Good luck, Joyce! :)

Won a slot at a food tasting/photo shoot event and I was worrying over not having a rangefinder camera but as it turns out, I don’t have to bring one since the winners will be the models for the shoot. (eep!) I think I’ll pass this time; I’m not so keen on posing in front of the camera. I’m very awkward on normal moments more so when I’m being instructed to do something like pretending to enjoy food. XD
